Just Because I'm in a Master's Program Doesn't Mean I'm a Master Teacher...Yet
After a firm discussion with the Special Education coordinator about the modifications I had been making on exams for specials needs students, (which were not sufficient enough, I was told) I talked with my subject / grade level partner and he presented my with a CD containing already modified exams ready to print off and use! I have learned in this profession, it really is ask and (most of the time) you shall receive. My students are wrapping up their unit on the Geography of the country of Mexico, and have been enjoying learning how to translate phrases into Spanish using Babel Fish online translator and finding out how to say their name in Spanish. Also, I have been using Holt's (the maker of our textbook) website which also has fun, interactive online quizzes, maps, and templates, such as newspapers the students can manipulate then print off to see their work. We are well into quarter two. Wednesday for Halloween I have a Halloween webquest for my students to do, which I hope they enjoy. School is going well, so are classes, and I am enjoying my new class with Laura Wedman that just started last week! It is more work, yes, but everything I'm learning is applicable to the classroom!

I completely agree about the ask and you shall receive. It might take a couple of days, but it'll happen!
Thanks, also, for being so awesome and always commenting in my blog. It's been a hard 11 weeks, and having your encouraging comments really helps me out. And it lets me know that I'm not as alone as I think I am.
My blog reads like a novel, eh? Perhaps I'll publish it later in life. : ) hahahah!
Memoirs of Miss Franklin's First Year as an Educator: The Trajectory to Greatness! You must mention me in the footnotes somewhere! Thanks for the uplifting comments! We need to give each other those!
